Hello everyone

I have decided to start over with a new dA profile. Hopefully I can be a little more active and engaging on the new one. I am about to change jobs this summer, and it will give me a more normal life where I work from Monday to Friday (like everyone else) rather than Tuesday-Sunday like I am doing now.

I will close down this profile completely in July, but I want this to be shown, so that if you see my pictures posted by another profile, it is ME posting my pictures again

Tomorrow I will be 23 years old. Who would have thought and I will be spending yet another birthday in China. Ah well, it is only my second birthday but nonetheless

Gosh, I am getting so old!

I have finally had some time to get my own personal gallery website up and running again. Ever since I moved to China I have been busy with job-searching and working and I never really had a computer that was fast enough to handle any kind of image handling after importing them. I am still only just working on pictures that I took during 2010 and I have yet to even start on some of the pictures I have taken during 2011, but not for long I am getting well on my way.

So, I hope that you will all pay a friendly visit to my little second home on the internet. On the gallery website, you might find  a lot of the same pictures that also go here. That is because I use dA to get feedback on my work before it goes on to the gallery. Some of them do skip that process though

On April 1st, my laptop died on me during the evening. I knew that it was about time for him to move on, but he could have chosen a better date to do so, that was the saddest joke of all!

I had just finished playing a massive prank on all of my friends on Facebook and before I had a chance to actually let them know that it was indeed just a prank, my laptop died and with it, my way of communicating with the world! Talk about bad karma! Anyway, my desktop computer arrived a few days ago finally after a very long wait and it has taken me a few days to get set up as I am a bit anal with my work-space, the computer set-up and my lightroom catalogues but now it should all be ready.

My desktop can now handle Lightroom and Photoshop as easy as I can eat a piece of cake. Windows is ready to roll in less than 40 from I push the "turn on" button on the machine and I have a lot more screen estate on my 23" full HD screen than my lousy 15" laptop with a mere 1280*800 resolution. Boy am I  excited to get use of this wonderful piece of equipment!

I have loads of pictures from China to show you when I get to it. I want to focus some attention on my two groups first and then I will go nuts with my own personal profile here on dA!

Yet again for the past months, I have found myself in a situation where I just had too much to do and too little time to get it done. I have had to prioritize what was most important and unfortunately, my paying job comes before my unpaying hobby of taking pictures.

I have now moved to Luoyang, in Henan Province in China working at a differnt school that offers a different but much less stressing time schedule. I am now working at an evening training school, working evenings and weekends but my total workweek is around 26 hours with 8 office hours and the remaining being teaching lessons. 26 is the maximum amount of hours but it us usually less. The pay is good for the work that I do and I can now live a very comfortable life in Luoyang and have time to myself as well, so now, my photography will start getting serious again!

I will have to start slow, I am in the administration of two groups that I need to get functioning before I focus too much on my private profile, but I will get there eventually and I have a load of pictures that I want to show you!
